RESEARCH INTERESTS

In working with others to promote the goal of "social justice", I have dedicated my life to understanding the ways in which race, class and gender interact at, and between, the macro-, meso- and micro-levels of social systems. As such, some of my working questions for research include: what are the antecedents and nature of racial and gender ideologies and; how do these ideologies work to facilitate and/or prohibit the conception and execution of collective action aimed at the amelioration of racial and gender inequality? In order to answer these questions I employ mixed method research designs and cross-cultural survey methods.
